What hours is the centre open?

Centre Hours are 7.30am to 5.30pm, closed weekends and statutory holidays.

Yes, also you are able to apply for WINZ subsidies.

Does my child have to attend full-time?

No, we offer part-time places at a minimum of 2 days per week, 6 hours per day and limited spaces for 9-3 option.

What ages of children will you cater for?

6 months to 5 years, with separate areas for infants and toddlers and preschoolers.

What will the group size be for the young babies?

We believe that very young children should be cared for in an environment with small group sizes and a high teacher to child ratio that allows for secure attachments, consistent and individualised care, and more opportunities for learning in a healthier setting.

Can you tell me about the teachers?

Our teachers are fully qualified and registered and have a passion for teaching and ongoing learning.  They demonstrate a commitment to the Imagine philosophy and enjoy the family friendly home-like learning environment that Imagine provides.  Julie and Kay will be teaching alongside our team, using their extensive experience and knowledge.

How do I settle my child into the centre?

Each family will have one teacher who will help you to settle into the centre, they will be available to spend time with you on at least three visits before your starting day to get to know you, your child, routines and family aspirations. This teacher will continue to care for your child once they have started.

What will my child’s day look like?

Every morning the same teachers will greet your child and help them settle into their day. Activities and experiences will be available both inside and outside during the day that will meet and extend your child’s interests, as well as regular meal times and sleep times. We will also have opportunities to go on excursions into the local community. The younger children’s day will be guided by their own rhythms.

How safe will my child be?

All early childhood settings must comply with government regulations and criteria and we believe that we will not only meet these but provide more than the minimum requirements. Our policies will be available should you wish to view them at any time.
