The Imagine Childcare Programme – Pre-School (3 to 5 Years)
Our preschool programme may look like play, but play is work for tamariki. Our environment offers opportunities for tamariki to become independent learners, to develop competency in early literacy and numeracy while playing in all areas.
At Imagine tamariki will form meaningful relationships – hononga – with others and feel a sense of belonging – mana whenua. They will be encouraged and supported to become a valued member of their community. They will develop life-long learning skills and be confident, capable communicators.
Our outdoor play space allows for exploration – mana aotūroa – in a natural environment with established trees, vegetable and flower gardens, secret paths, worm farms, composting and more. Tamariki will develop a sense of respect and understanding for the natural environment and sustainability; they will learn to take risks and participate with increasing confidence.
We value the importance of partnership – haere kotui, bringing together all those who are important to the task – so you, as a parent, will be involved in decisions about your child’s learning.
